ampawonline etymology

Let me share to you guys why I entitled my blog as AMPAWONLINE. The title itself may sound ridiculous but it's fascinating for me. The term ampaw can be commonly referred by Filipinos as rice crispies but Ampao perhaps is the right spelling for that. Furthermore, ampaw also came from the word amaw in bisaya which means... hahaha i really do not know, I suppose it pertains to stupid. Then my highschool friend,Adelle, first popluarized this term in the school :D. To make the story short, I got hooked with the word and until now I still use it as my expression. So after minutes of thinking what would be my blog name, I eventually came up with ampawonline which is best described as an idiot online. hahaha.. :)
